Cervical spondylosis is a form of arthritis, which generally attacks vertebrae, connecting bone joint, and ligament structures. This is called cervical because it occurs in the cervical vertebrae.

In Ayurveda system this is known as Griva Sandhigata Vata. A person can suffer from various part of the body. It can attack in the back of the neck, arms and or shoulder. If it occurs stiffness of the neck and even paraplegia can also occur due to this condition. Due to cervical spondylosis one can suffer pain of the neck. It can affect the loss of memory and sleeplessness.

These are some common remedies by which you can get rid of Cervical Spondylosis, but later we have mentioned some yoga for Cervical Spondylosis that would be effective for you.

If this condition occurs, person should always avoid violent massage with deep pressure, because this is very much harmful for the patients. Yes the patient can take gentle massage lightly of the muscles of the neck and shoulder.

In this condition one can take guggulu, gum resin extracted from the plant, which is one of the best medicines for this condition. In Ayurveda system, simhanada guggulu is widely used in this condition. A patient can take hot water or hot milk after the medicines provided by the physician. Ayurveda physician generally provide this medicine 2-3 tablets, 3-4 times a day. To recover from this disease always see whether your bowel move clearly and regularly, if yes then it is fine to recover early and if not then you must consult with your physician.

But if the patient has clear motion, generally prescribed 2 tablets a day. If the patient is suffering from constipation he or she would be provided 5-6 tablets a day according to the symptoms of the disease. Amlaki, Haritaki and Bahira (Triphala) powder is best medicine for this purpose. A patient can take one teaspoon of triphala powder with a cup of warm milk and one spoon of sugar mixture. This depends according to the symptoms of the motion. If the motions become clear and regular then the patient can take this triphala powder 2 times a week, otherwise it can be taken every day.

Remember:

  • Curd should be avoided in this condition.
  • Fried things should be avoided.
  • Pulses and preparations of pulses should be avoided.
  • The patient can take neem flowers and or bitter gourd which are very much useful for this condition.
  • Can take chappati made with wheat.
  • Always avoid maida/flour. Because if the patient suffering from constipation then maida/flour is not good for him/her.
