How to Practice Urdhwa Hastottanasana 

First, stand straight and spread your legs 1 to 1.5 ft apart (maximum).

Second, Interlock the fingers of your hand.

Third, Reverse the joined palms and slowly stretch your hands upwards.

Fourth, Bend your waist towards the left direction, while exhaling and stay in that position for a couple of minutes.

Fifth, keep your elbows straight upward the head straight the knees and, sides of your feet firmly placed on the ground.

Sixth, now breathe normally and keep close your eyes.

Seventh, to return to the normal position, you should keep your waist straight and inhale properly.

Eight, repeat this on the right side as you did on the left side.

Things to Remember

Practice this Yoga Asana 6-8 times.

Precaution for this Asana – The Urdhwa Hastottanasana

Do not practice this yoga asana in haste and avoid jolts while attaining and also returning back to the normal position.

While doing Urdhwa Hastottanasana bend your waist as much as you can without much pressure.

If you are suffering from back or joint pain do not practice Urdhwa Hastottanasana.
